Designer's notes: "“Chinoiserie” describes the styling of decorative arts to reflect Chinese artistic influence. In this bracelet, the amulet charms for joy, love and luck mingle with vintage jadeite teardrops, circa 1940s carved glass panels and handmade glass beads. My inspiration for these pieces is Amy Tan’s book, The Joy Luck Club, for the trio of women who met together in the face of war to enjoy each other’s company through a game of mah jong, some food and humor. The bracelet, pin/pendant and earrings all express a carefree, spirited mood to repel life’s typical hardships. Antique Bronze."
