Pinup Girls are reimagined for the twenty-first century on the runways this year!

It should come as no surprise that the pinup girls fashion trend doesn't stop with the Hollyweird underground and celebrities like Christina Aguilera. The couture designers of Paris and Milan have also been bitten with the bug. Some of the biggest names in the fashion industry, such as Miuccia Prada, Chanel, Carolyn Herrera, Ralph Lauren, Stella McCartney, Roberto Cavalli, Moschino, La Perla and Betsey Johnson have also sported the pinup girls style this year.

Since we know a lot of our customers are fond of the pinup girls fashion style, we thought it might be interesting for you to peer into the couture world to see how the designers, with a big "D", interpret this style. Be sure to click the link that says "click for more fashion>"

What we love about the couture designers is the significant poetic license they take in transforming the pinup girls look.

Gawd bless people that think outside the box!

For ourselves, we tend to favor the classic pinup girls styles from the 1940's and 1950's, which is why we *heart* Stop Staring Clothing, Queen of Heartz, Broad-Minded, Steady Clothing, and Mode Merr. This is also why we love working with Bernie Dexter, who captures the essence of the traditional and wholesome pinup girl look.

We invite you to come to our Boutique and spice up your Spring! You will find some couture, and a whole plethora of retro & rockabilly pinup girls hair clips, lingerie, retro inspired dresses from the 1940's & 1950's, pinup panties, and 1950's inspired lucite jewelry.
